Celebrate America

Thursday, July 7th, 2011

I love the 4th of July, I love the meaning, the celebrations, parades and most of all the fireworks! What a great country we live in that we are allowed to gather together and enjoy our freedom.  Don’t forget to remember who to thanks for continuing to have this freedom all our brave soldiers and citizen soldiers who proudly and willingly  fight for our rights.

In doing this blog and since I am not a Native of Georgia I am a military transplant but Loretta is Georgia born and bred I googled the history of Georgia and how it came to be. I had no clue! What a rich history and to be a land fought over by two countries as large as Spain and Great Britian. To read more click here

Then I googled and found this link with all the information that you love to know but will never retain. But it makes for great trivia knowledge. Just in case you are a trivia player.

And if reading Georgia history was not stimulating  enough for you check out the fourth of July history!

As for Loretta and myself and our familys we are heading to McConnell Talbert stadium to watch Wynonna Judd sing with the AF Reserve Band, We will have music, fireworks, friends and heat! The last one being the thing I like the least. But when you live in Georgia what can you do.

We hope you have a safe and blessed holiday this 4th of July.
